Book Covers

This project was all about redesigning a set of book covers. I went with the first three books from the Series of Unfortunate Events, mimicking the style of Saul Bass. Since the stories told in these books have no happy endings, it’s a sad story all the way through. I thought it would be fitting to use a rougher, almost uneasy art style to match the themes of the book. With each cover using the main imagery and plots from each book to give an idea of what is going to happen, but not how.
